Conceptually, this is a different take on the song "Unresolved" but with a more positive, upbeat feel behind it. That particular set of lyrics just sort of hung around in the air many days for me this year.

"She na na hey" is supposed to be a sort of nonsensical, cathartic chant from many souls enduring shared misery but surviving.

I didn't want just my own voice on the track, so I posted an Instagram video with the chant and asked my friends to send me recordings. Only two friends partook (understandable, it was a weird ask in the first place, and it's hard to sync up with the video without duplicating background noise). Nonetheless, it was so much fun cutting and pasting their voices all over the song. After a couple of weeks of tinkering, I decided it needed a little more vocal, just to glue the backing section together, so I found Isbeth777 on Fiverr and her additions worked out great.
