about

I began writing this last December (2021) on a night when Lucy woke up and we couldn't fall asleep, so I put on It's a Wonderful Life as we lay there in the rocking chair next to the tree. The idea was to evoke that feeling of nostalgia and wonderment you get when gazing at Christmas lights and thinking of Christmases past.

I feel like it's one of my most "fully realized" songs because I've had it in the back of my mind all year. I hope that it adds some joy to your holiday season.
